At its recent Made by Google event, Google introduced the Pixel Watch 3, featuring cutting-edge health and fitness capabilities aimed at runners. The smartwatch integrates machine learning to track heart rate, sleep, and stress, offering users a comprehensive view of their health. With its ability to analyze workout intensity, recovery needs, and running form, the Pixel Watch 3 is designed to optimize fitness routines and improve performance. It also includes new safety features like loss of pulse detection, which can alert emergency services if no pulse is detected.
In addition to the Pixel Watch 3, Google announced the Pixel 9 series, which incorporates the AI chatbot Gemini Live, allowing users to engage in free-flowing conversations. However, Google cautions against using the chatbot for professional advice, emphasizing its role as an informational tool. The Pixel 9 phones also come with an upgraded camera system featuring AI-powered options like the "Add Me" feature, which uses augmented reality to combine multiple photos into one.
Other product launches at the event include the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, a premium foldable phone, and the Pixel Buds Pro 2, the first earbuds with Gemini integration. All products are available for preorder, with the Pixel Watch 3 starting at $349 for the 41 mm WiFi model and $399 for the 45 mm version.
